Floor 8, the City of Eisenhower was known as the loudest and most enthusiastic floor in the building. We can be heard from just about anywhere on campus. From the first steps onto the floor, the Hawaiian theme and enthusiastic counselors embraced citizens with a warm welcome. By the end of city elections Mackenzie Anthony became Mayor of the City of Eisenhower.

The first town problem meeting was held on day 2. We were given the topic of finding a way to raise money to revamp two thirds of the business front on Main Street. The main problem was trying to get organized and deciding on what to deal with first. The meeting ended with 7 townspeople volunteering for a committee to vote on behalf of the town’s best interests. Our Senior Counselor Emma Good and Junior Counselor Sophie Dvorak were the counselors of Eisenhower. During the week they took on the role of our mom, best friends, and anything else we needed them for. Using their creative minds they came up with the most amazing chants. We confidently and clearly chanted what was known as the best chants in the building. 

Throughout the sum of the week all of the girls became closer than we could have ever imagined. We bonded over not just our similarities but our differences too. Laughter and energy drinks were the things that bonded us together the most. Floor 8 from the 2024 Cornhusker Girls State will forever be the best floor.
