Floor 8, the City of Roosevelt was always a floor of laughter and sisterhood. Taylor Swift and Tinsel quickly bonded the floor together. It was always a party on Roosevelt and everyone got together incredibly well. Sydney Sanders was elected as our Mayor at the conclusion of the city elections.

At our first town meeting, we were faced with the issue of raising and cutting taxes and having a community project. As a town, we had amazing discussions regarding our values as a town. As a town, we are very community-oriented and want more programs to help grow our city. The girls on Floor 8 are a very positive group and always support everyone and their endeavors. We often have discussions about our life goals and what we hope to accomplish after our senior year. Our counselors Cecelia King and Alex Sasse were both amazing counselors who were our number 1 fans. From making chants to college/life advice these ladies are always willing to help out the delegates of Roosevelt. Over the course of the election cycle, we had many triumphs on the floor that were celebrated and even when things didn’t go our way we were always supporting each other and helping out a fellow girl.

At the end of the day is when Roosevelt came to life. We were all just dancing and talking with each other and having a great time. No one could predict how a group of 30 girls was going to bond together over the course of one week, but Roosevelt had proved to be an amazing floor and had amazing leadership throughout the week.
